Medical assistants primarily work in doctors offices, hospitals, or medical clinics. Here are some of the duties that they take on daily:

  • Preparing treatment rooms to make sure they are clean
  • Interviewing patients
  • Taking temperature of patients, and monitoring any other vital signs
  • Cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
  • Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
